Open Roles
Seeking a Head of AI Innovation who lives, thinks, and breathes AI, to help Verblio figure out the right places to leverage AI, both in our product and internal operations.
We’re brewing something exciting here at Verblio, a content creation platform powered by a one-of-a-kind network of over 1,000 professional writers that empowers growing businesses to create quality content, at scale, in every niche.
Great content fuels customer acquisition and retention for the fastest-growing businesses today. That content takes time, resources, and talent. Without it, many companies simply can’t compete. That’s where we come in. We’re already nearly 3 years into the use of AI in many parts of our business, but we know there’s lots of opportunity for more. That’s where you come in.
Behind our SaaS platform and marketplace is a team of energetic, eclectic startup junkies who love working hard together and are proud of our amazing brand and transparent, collaborative culture. We believe in doing good and fueling growth for our writers and our customers.
What you’ll do at Verblio
You’ll be the expert on understanding how we can use AI most effectively both in our content operations and our internal company operations. You’ll help us build AI-based products and workflows that combine the efficiency of AI with the quality our humans provide so we can continue to wow customers with great content while also being smarter and more efficient every step of the way.
You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining prompt flows for existing AI products, including updating prompts and models as needed
- Testing prompts and models for new and existing products, including developing quantitative and qualitative evaluation metrics
- Customizing gen AI flows for different client requirements
- Working with sales and ops teams to identify how gen AI can (or cannot!) be used client prospecting
- Building proofs-of-concept for new gen AI-based products
- Using low- and no-code tools like Make and Airtable to build gen AI workflows
- Staying up to date with current gen AI capabilities and how we might use them internally or in our products
A little bit about you
- Experience working with gen AI models, ideally including OpenAI and/or Anthropic APIs
- Experience with low- or no-code tools
- Direct experience or at least an interest in content marketing/SEO/inbound marketing preferred.
- Comfortable saying “Yes, we can do that with AI”—and then figuring out how to build it
- Creative at thinking of ways to mitigate AI’s weaknesses, whether through prompt strategies, human involvement, automation, or something else
- Care about good writing
- Zeal for working with a kick-ass team hell-bent on having a great time, enjoying the quirkiness of our users, and overdelivering (because it’s the right thing to do).
- Cool or unexpected skills we haven’t mentioned? Let’s hear ‘em!
You’ll love working at Verblio because of our:
- Competitive salary, generous benefits, and unlimited paid time off.
- Stylish sock options
- Truly awesome team of people - we don’t have needless meetings, don’t tolerate egos, and genuinely like each other. It’s awesome.
- Vibrant company culture. We’re smart, welcoming, creative, and engaged in our jobs. We have a low turnover rate because people love working here. We’re looking for someone who wants to be a part of that.
- We made the Inc 5000 list and won six Mercury 100 awards, as well as making the Colorado Companies to Watch list.
- Energy! Have you read the website? That’ll give you a good idea.
This is a fully remote opportunity.

We’re looking for a Head of Product to join our seriously fantastic team

Great content fuels customer acquisition and retention for the fastest-growing businesses today. That content takes time, resources, and talent. Without it, many companies simply can’t compete. That’s where we come in. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, creative Manager of Content Operations to help us wow customers with content that meets their goals.
Behind our SaaS platform and marketplace is a team of energetic, eclectic startup junkies who love working hard together and are proud of our amazing brand and transparent, collaborative culture. We believe in doing good and fueling growth for our writers and our customers.
We’re looking for a Head of Product who…
- …is ridiculously excited to jump into a fast moving product leadership role
- …loves collaborating with super smart, driven, and fun people in a fast-paced startup environment
- ...loves to find innovative solutions, solve tricky problems, and think strategically
- ...has a data-centric mindset with strong analytical problem solving skills
- ...has fantastic verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams (and appreciate our puns)
- ...is curious, resourceful, and proactive
- ...is equally able to execute their own work or lead projects for others
- ...loves to brainstorm and riff with other collaborators of all levels and types
- ...compulsively seizes opportunities to experiment with and improve everything they touch with a great attention to detail
- ...is self-motivated with the ability to pitch-in and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
What you’ll do every day
Most fundamentally, you’ll be a member of our leadership team with overall responsibility for product strategy and execution. You’ll manage our development team, own the roadmap, write user stories, plan and manage sprints, engage with customers and writers as necessary, and be a key driver of the success of our products.
- Seek out and champion the voice of our customers and writers. Become an expert in their desires and pain points
- Define, measure, and present product success metrics and KPIs to ensure our initiatives are making a positive impact on our overall business goals
- Engage stakeholders across the company for brainstorming, requirements-gathering, feedback and priority trade-off discussions
- Author everything from detailed product requirements, to user stories in our backlog, to new ideas in our icebox, to in-app copy and release documentation
- Having an eye for design is a huge plus. As we don’t have a UX designer on staff presently, you’ll identify when we need to pull in contract designers to create wireframes, mocks, and usability testing plans vs. when you can pull that off
- Manage our team of engineers, leading story grooming and sprint planning sessions, attending standups, and running retros
- Manage product backlog items big and small, planning and coordinating tasks from start (discovery and research) to finish (demos and release communications)
- Develop new processes, resources, and tools to drive efficiency and transparency across the company
- Do all of this in a startup environment with limited resources. Because we like challenge, variety, and the freedom of autonomy
What you’ll need to be successful
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience, having led a product team
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience
- Strong English language skills
- Ninja-like time management and prioritization skills, driving toward resolution even when juggling multiple projects
- The opinion that technology is super interesting and the ability to “speak engineer” (e.g., a working knowledge of things like SQL, HTML, CSS, responsive design approaches, troubleshooting, and database basics)
- Experience with low code tools like Airtable, Make.com, and Zapier is a strong plus
- Some AI experience with LLMs via any major provider
- Readiness to pitch-in and adapt in a rapidly changing environment
- An ability to cohesively articulate our workflow, data, and technical capabilities, as well as to listen to a customer’s pain points and distill them to potential solutions we can provide
- Effectiveness when working remotely and collaborating with remote teams. We’re 100% remote and thrive on Slack, video chats, and lots of collaboration, both synchronous and asynchronous
Why you’ll love working at Verblio:
- You’ll have a high degree of ownership and opportunity to inspire your passion and personal fulfillment
- Your work will be varied and challenging to help you grow every day
- Competitive salary, generous benefits, frequent Fridays off, and unlimited paid time off.
- We made the Inc. 5000 list and won our six Mercury 100 awards, as well as making the Colorado Companies to Watch list.
