Abolish the Backlog: Tools to Keep Your Blog Consistent

Table of Contents

Verblio’s (formerly BlogMutt) ultimate goal is to make it simple and easy to keep your blog current. Our crowd of writers submits posts to you on topics you’ve chosen, meaning you don’t have to write those posts yourself. We give you opportunities to provide feedback to the writers and request edits, so each post is exactly what your blog needs. And we send those posts directly to you each week for you to put up on your site.

But here’s the thing: Verblio only works if you actually publish those posts.

You’re busy. We get it. But your blog still needs attention. Fortunately, we have easy ways to stay consistent with your blogging if it’s that final step that keeps tripping you up.

Keep Your Blog Consistent With These Tools

You signed up for Verblio because you don’t have the time or resources to keep your blog current on your own. You know consistent blogging is the foundation of a solid content marketing strategy, and that adding new content to your site at least once a week is a great way to improve your search ranking. You’re getting content from us that really works for your business, and you just can’t wait to see how it will affect sales and customer engagement.

The problem? You can’t even find the time to get that content to your blog and click “Publish,” and you’re watching your backlog of posts build up until you feel tempted to just quit.

Don’t quit! There are two simple solutions:

1. Verblio has free integrations with WordPress and HubSpot to send your posts directly to your blog each week. You just enter the login information for your blog into our secure system under Delivery Options, and choose whether to have your posts sent as drafts or go straight to publish.

If you find that the one thing keeping you from blogging consistently is just getting those posts from your email or your Verblio account onto your actual blog, this is a really great option. No copying and pasting for you, and no worrying about when you’ll have time to publish this week’s post. It’s done for you, automatically.

2. If you want to take it one step further, you might consider adding our Publish It service to your subscription. With that add-on, a Verblio admin logs into your blog each week and publishes your posts for you, also adding categories, tags, a meta description, and all that other optimization stuff to make sure each post is really doing work for your business.

This is all especially relevant as the holiday season approaches. Google doesn’t celebrate Thanksgiving, nor does it care that your entire team is scrambling to put the finishing touches on your holiday promotion and close the year with strong sales. Algorithms don’t take time off.

But it couldn’t be simpler to keep your blog consistent, even while you stuff yourself with turkey and spend that well deserved time with your family not thinking about work (as much as that’s possible these days).

Just take advantage of one of our free integrations or add Publish It to your subscription, and sit back and relax, knowing that your blog is taken care of.

At Verblio, I help our wonderful freelance writer base submit the best possible content to our customers. I love nothing more than delving into exciting subjects like when to use an em dash versus a colon versus a semicolon, and why, for Pete's sake, you should use the Oxford comma. Ask me about why "they" is a perfectly acceptable singular pronoun!
